Neither Here Nor There 2025

Neither Here Nor There is a sculptural installation of a single body divided by a wall, each half facing away. It reflects the migrant experience of living between worlds, where identity is split by borders, racism, and imposed belonging. The work speaks to alienation and the quiet violence of being seen as other, suspended in an unresolved in-between state.

By positioning the body within a shared space, the installation engages with its physical and material environment, prompting audiences to navigate, occupy, and sense the relational dynamics of presence, absence, and separation.

Polyurethane foam, synthetic polymer paint, gesso, plaster, cement, water, sculptural supports and armature, paper. installation wall partition, and mixed-media elements for body representation. Height 170–180 cm; Depth 20–25 cm per half; Width 60–80 cm per half.
