3D glass

Glass (various dates)

Working with glass, its translucency, fragility, and responsiveness allow exploration of presence, transformation, and relational perception. Techniques such as kiln-forming, slumping, casting, and coldworking introduce unpredictability and trial-and-error, letting forms emerge in dialogue with the material. Attentive to light, space, and more-than-human forces, the practice engages physical, sensory, and ecological systems, reflecting interconnections across human, non-human, and environmental worlds.

Glass sheets, rods, or frit (cut, cast, pâte de verre, fused, kiln-formed, slumped, dremeled, sanded, and polished); kiln-forming molds; coldworking tools (grinders, sanders, cutters); supports, plaster, and environmental elements such as leaves, water, wire, and flowers. Various sizes.
